Important Information RE: State Meet on 3/11/21 - Please read!

State Team Qualifiers, Alternates, Parents & Coaches,

There is a lot of information to share about the logistics for Thursdays meet. Please be sure to read this message and the linked documents in their entirety to understand how the meet will run on Thursday. Thank you.

Mike has shared with the girls that he would like them to warmup at AHS on Thursday morning, and depart from there together. To that end, we will be providing breakfast sandwiches from Einstein's for all attendees and the 2 coaches that morning.

Join me in congratulating our swimmers for Thursdays meet!

  1. Alternates / Timers - please confirm you are available to attend on Thursday by replying to this email with a YES I am available to attend on Thursday, or NO I am not available to attend on Thursday. Thank you.

Parents / Athletes: Please read through this document (Click this link) in its entirety, it explains in great detail how the meet will run and the logistics of each event. It will be a long day, so please plan accordingly.

For all athletes in attendance, you will be given a $15 gift card to a local eatery, your timing to grab lunch is on your own as there will be no group lunch opportunity given the format of the meet.

The Bulletin from CHSSA has the details of timing of each event - you can find that by clicking this link: CHSAA Girls Swim & Dive Bulletin - see page 34 for the state meet events by time.

Banquet Room nearby for downtime: If parents are interested, the booster club will cover a banquet room rental at StayBridge suites nearby VMAC as a resting / waiting area. No one is allowed to be in VMAC until they swim, they basically enter for their event, warmup, swim, cooldown and leave the building. Since for many there are significant breaks between events, it might make sense to have a place to go and rest. To that end, in order for this to be possible, we will need at least 2-3 parents to agree to chaperone that banquet room. If you are planning to attend the meet with your daughter, and are either part of the Medley relay and/or the 400 free relay, please let us know if you are willing to be one of those chaperones. Until we hear confirmation that we can get the entire meet time covered, we are not able to reserve that option. Of course you are at liberty to do whatever you choose, this is just one option to allow a place for rest and waiting that isn't in your car.

Please know how proud we are of all of you, and how much we wish we could all be at VMAC to cheer you on. We will all be there in spirit! Good luck.

Go Warriors!
