Welcome to week 11 of the AHS Boys Swim & Dive Team!
We’re in the home stretch with only A League and State remaining!
There is a LOT of info in this email so PLEASE read all the way through.

First off:
Congratulations to all B League swimmers!
24 of 25 individual season-best times! Wow!

A special THANK YOU to freshman Michael Stickley who swam in three relays in order for Arapahoe to have two relay teams in all three relay events!

7:30 AM - Diving Warm-up
8:30 AM - Coaches Meeting
8:50 AM - Boards close - officials meeting with athletes
9:00 AM - Diving Prelims begin (Round 1-5)
TBD - Short (5-10 minute break) to transition to Semis
TBD - Diving Semis begin (Rounds 6-8P)
TBD - 15 Minute break to transition to Finals
TBD - Diving Finals being (Rounds 9-11)
11:00 AM - 11:30 AM - Diving estimated to be complete

**Please note – there will be a short meeting following finals for all boys (and their parents) – who qualified for state. If your son qualifies, please be prepared to stay for the meeting.

SEATING

Only coaches and officials allowed on deck. Seating area will be open to spectators at approximately 4 PM Friday May 5th

Adults: $5.00 per session
Students with ID: $3.00 per session

  • At VMAC - 5310 E 136th Ave. Thornton 80602
  • Pool Opens - 8:00 AM
  • Warm-ups begin – 8:20 AM
  • 5A Diving competition begins – 9:55 AM
  • Awards following conclusion of last dive – 2:30 PM (approximate)

Thursday, May 11th – 5A State Swimming Prelims

  • At VMAC - 5310 E 136th Ave. Thornton 80602
  • Pool Opens to athletes and coaches – 2:45 PM
  • Doors open to spectators – 3:00 PM
  • Warm-ups begin – 3:30 PM
  • Clear pool – 4:45 PM
  • 5A Swimming Prelims begin – 5:00 PM

    Horizon High School will NOT BE OPEN for any parking during any times of the State Championship. You will need to park at TrailWinds Open Space if the VMAC parking lot is full. DO NOT PARK at the Recreation Center. They will tow you! Please make sure that you are making your parents and fans aware of this! Is it also posted on the website.
