State Qualifier
Congratulations to Will Rickenbaw for another state qualifying time--this time in the 500 Free!

Morning Feeds

    • Thank you for all of your help so far this season! The boys have been well fed. We have just a few more spots left in April for morning feeds if you are able to help. Sign up here.

Senior Night

    • April 18th is Senior Night during the Mullen swim meet where we recognize each senior on the team. Senior parents, you will want to attend this night as you will walk out into the pool area with your swimmer.

Pennants

    • The swim managers are passing out pennant kits to the swimmers to bring home. You will need to assemble the pennants and return by May 9th. These will be hung up at the end-of-year banquet. To return, you can have your swimmer give to Ty Ohlgren or drop off at the Ohlgren home: 6465 S. High St. Centennial on the bench by the front door.

Volunteer Needs

    • A Leagues: AHS has been asked to provide one timer for A Leagues (Friday, May 3rd at 5:30pm and Saturday, May 4th at 2:00pm). If you have a swimmer going to A Leagues and would be willing to time one or both events, please let us know.
    • End of Year Banquet: Mark your calendars for Monday, May 13th at 6pm and sign up to help make this the BEST celebration for our swimmers!
    • Shadows for next season: We are coming up to the end of the season and we need a few helpers to shadow for next season. Please reach out to Laura Smith if you can shadow as Volunteer Coordinator or End of Season Banquet Coordinator.

Swim & Dive at After Prom: We need two volunteers to work the swim & dive team slot for After Prom on May 4th. Please let us know if you are interested!

UPDATE to Heart of the Warrior Scholarship: Get your applications in soon! Due to time constraints, we will not require a teacher recommendation. Please get your applications in by April 19th. Our booster club offers a $500 scholarship to one deserving senior who has the “Heart of a Warrior.” Learn more here. Senior applicants must submit the following to Kim Gayeski by April 19th so the board has time to review the submissions:

    • A statement from the athlete applying for HOW stating:
      • “What it means to be a Warrior” to that swimmer/diver personally
      • How he has demonstrated leadership as an athlete and student to the team, coaches, and parents
      • How he has contributed to or has improved the culture of their AHS team
