Heart Screening, Senior Capstone Project
Hello Arapahoe Swim and Dive Program,
My name is Wesley Foa. I am a senior at Arapahoe high school. I am working with three other Arapahoe seniors, Caleb Joliff, Brody Nelson, and Luke Borgerding, on a senior capstone project. We are partnering with the Anthony Bates Foundation to put on a big community heart screening. To do that we need your help. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death globally, and the number one cause of death in youth athletes. In Colorado and around the country athletes have gone down on the court and field. We hope putting on this screening will not only bring awareness to the problem but also save lives. Please consider getting yourself and your athlete screened; as well as volunteering and contributing!
The screening consists of: Blood Pressure Check ECG / EKG Scan Ultrasound / Echocardiogram Physician Review $35 Dollars for Students $105 Dollars for Adults ( This screening is 80% cheaper then if you were to go to a local hospital for the same procedure )
Here are some details of the event: Date: April (26-27) Time: 9 AM - 6 PM Location: Arapahoe High School, 2201 E. Dry Creek Rd., Centennial, CO 80122 Volunteers needed: 40 each day (Volunteers receive free screening) Appointments needed: As many as possible
